Although my artwork is figurative, I endeavor to also to give the viewer glimpses of realities beyond the physical.

Much of my inspiration is gleaned from dreams, the lingering mood of the settings or perhaps even the literal imagery.

Recollection of particularly vivid dreams allows me to infuse my paintings with a more haunting quality.

My work is primarily intuitive, but I also often use reference photos to lend veracity to the images.

In my daily life, I am always noticing and recording those special fragments that can later become part of a painting,

a twisted tree or eerie clouds, dramatic lighting or a pensive face.
